Jasper General Hospital in 2012 celebrated 50 years of service to Jasper County and surrounding area. Owned and operated by the County, Jasper General Hospital is located at 15 South 6th Street in Bay Springs, Mississippi and offers excellent medical facilities in acute care, swing bed care, long term care and home health services. The hospital opened on May 5, 1962 with 30 hospital beds. Other services offered are physical, respiratory, speech therapy, laboratory and x-ray services.
Jasper General Hospital also has a beautiful assisted living facility, Summerland Manor. Summerland Manor is a high-quality 24-bed facility offering retirement living and assisted living in an environment that is designed for comfort and home style living.
An alert, well-trained medical staff cares for patients in the 16 acute care medical beds at the hospital and provide around-the-clock care to residents in the 110-bed nursing home.
